My name is Radu Popovici. I am a full-time Software Engineer in Silicon Valley, and a part time flight instructor for single and multi engine airplanes. I graduated the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania with an Engineering degree in Computer Science in 2003, and obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science from Cornell University in 2006. After this, the Bay Area became my new home. I've been flying since 2007 and have received my commercial and instructor certificates, with single and multi engine ratings (CSEL, CMEL, CFI, MEI). I am also interested in other forms of flight: gliders, helicopters, and so on.
As a pilot, I've flown most major primary trainers, as well as more demanding airplanes: Cessna 152, 172, 172RG, 182, 206; Piper PA28-150 (Cherokee), PA28-161 (Warrior), PA28-181 (Archer), PA28-201 (Arrow), PA44 (Seminole), PA24 (Twin Comanche); Beechcraft BE76 (Duchess); Bellanca Citabria 7ECA, 7KCAB.
